Devon Shaw is a popular film student at Paradise City College, whose reputation as something of a player precedes him. While he is popular, he’s also talented and hardworking, and he wants to make sure that his scholarship pays for his film studies since his parents, who are newly divorced and just starting a new period in their own lives, don’t take his studies very seriously. The only person who ever encouraged him was his old online friend Hanscee, with whom Devon doesn’t speak to anymore. Hans Jensen didn’t even want to move to America in the first place, but after his stepdad died, his mom made an executive decision for them both. They were going to move to New York and they were going to start their lives again there. Hans found it hard to fit into this new country until he found an online friend who he could talk to for hours and about anything. While Hans needed help with adjusting to America, his new friend FilmDevon, who lived down in Florida, needed help navigating his difficult home life and his parents’ impending divorce.
