Erasing a Portion of Images in Adobe Photoshop

Adobe Photoshop is a tool which can be used for creating some stellar image effects. In order to erase anything from your photos you need to follow these simple steps.

  • First of all you need to select the Eraser Tool.
  • Set the background color which is required to be applied if you are erasing in background.
  • Select the Mode setting from the option bar. Brush and pencil will set the eraser to act like these tools. There is another option of Block which is hard edged and fixed-sized square and it will not give you the option to change the opacity.
  • In the Brush and Pencil Mode you are required to select a brush preset and then set Opacity and Flow in the option bar.
  • If you set the opacity level to 100% and after that the pixels will be erased completely and if it’s not set to 100% then the eraser will erase the pixel partially.
  • Magic Eraser Tool is another option which can be used for erasing and for that you need to follow these simple steps.
  • Select the Magic Eraser Tool.
  • Enter the tolerance value for defining the range of colors which can be erased in the Option bar.
  • Lower Tolerance Value will let you erase the pixels within the range of color values which are similar to the pixel you click.
  • Higher Tolerance Value extends the range of colors which will be erased.
  • Select Anti-aliased for smoothening of the edges of areas which you need to erase.
  • Now select Contiguous for erasing pixels contiguous to the one you click.
  • Select Sample All Layers for sampling the erased color by using the data that has been combined from the visible layers.
  • Now set the Opacity level in order to define the strength of the erase.
  • Click on the portion of the layer which you are required to erase.

How to Give a Dark Theme to Windows 10

Many people prefer light text on the darker theme and many visually-impaired users find a high contrast or dark theme which is much easier to read. Windows 10’s widgets, menus, and Edge Browser has got a black or blue text on a white or grey background. And by tweaking few settings you can give a dark themeto your Windows 10. Edit Themes in the Registry:

  • 1st of all open the registry editor by pressing Windows+R or by typing regedit in the Run field.
  • Now navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Themes by opening the tree from the left side of the window.
  • Now create a new key by right clicking in the window pane and by selecting New>Key.
  • Name the key Personalize and the open it.
  • Now you need to create a new DWORD value by right clicking in the right pane and selecting New>DWORD.
  • Name DWORD AppsUseLightTheme.
  • Now set the DWORD’s value to 0 and double click on DWORD in order to open it.
  • Now navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Themes\Personalize.
  • Now create a new DWORD (32-Bit) whose name is AppsUseLightTheme.
  • Set its value to 0.
  • Now close Regedit and the restart your PC.

Dark Theme in Windows Mail:

In order to set a dark theme in Windows Mail leaving all other menus untouched you need to follow these steps.

  • 1st of all launch Mail.
  • Now click the gear icon from the lower left corner of the window to go to the setting menu.
  • Now select personalization from the Setting menu.
  • Now select the Dark theme.
  • Your mailbox should now be darker then before.

What is Recycle Bin?

The Recycle Bin is one of the desktop icon which resembles a wastebasket . Recycle Bin is the place where you are going to put the files which you want to delete. You can view the files which are inside the Recycle Bin by just double clicking on it. After double clicking on the Recycle Bin you can easily view a list a deleted files.

Moving a file in Recycle Bin from Desktop, Windows Explorer or My Computer:

For moving the file in the Recycle Bin you can just click and drag the file or folder to the Recycle Bin or you can follow these simple steps.

  • 1st of all right click the file or folder which you want to delete.
  • Now a pop-up menu will appear and select Delete.
  • Now a dialog box will appear which will ask you Are you sure you want to send the file or folder to the Recycle Bin?
  • Now you need to click Yes.

Moving a file to the Recycle Bin from Windows Explorer or My Computer:

  • 1st of all you need to click on the file or folder which you want to delete.
  • The selected file or folder will become dark.
  • Now select Delete This File (or Delete This Folder)

Bypassing the Recycle Bin

Now if you are absolutely sure that you want to delete the file you can easily bypass the Recycle Bin altogether and it can be done by selecting a file or files by just pressing Shift+Delete from your keyboard.
